Seeing the Shoulder Differently
Stop chasing tight upper traps. Learn to recognize the patterns behind shoulder dysfunction so your treatments become more connected, confident, and effective.
A 4-week online clinical mentorship for RMTs — live treatment demonstrations, a training manual, and a month of direct mentorship.
Next cohort begins OCTOBER · Live weekly sessions on Zoom · Limited spots
Refine how you assess, treat, and restore shoulder function, beyond isolated techniques.
Most practitioners are taught to treat the shoulder as a collection of separate structures: the rotator cuff, deltoid, joint capsule, and upper traps.
But the shoulder doesn't function in isolation.
When you learn to recognize the relationships between the shoulder, scapula, rib cage, diaphragm, and surrounding tissues, your assessments become clearer, your treatments more intentional, and your clinical reasoning more confident.
Over four weeks, you'll develop a new way of seeing, palpating, and treating the shoulder that you can apply in practice immediately.
What You'll Learn This training is designed for:
Every mentorship begins in your own body. Through guided movement, you'll experience the patterns, restrictions, and stretches you'll encounter in practice. Once you've felt them yourself, your hands begin to recognize them in your clients.
Releasing the joint capsule
Let the lines lead you into the capsule and release it from every angle, where lasting mobility comes fromThe breath connection
See how shoulder restriction feeds into the diaphragm and ribs, and how treating the pattern restores bothIntuitive practice
Your hands learn to track what's actually there, so treatment adapts in real time instead of following a scriptTreatment flow
One connected system, one connected session, assessment, tracking, and release woven together
Over 4 weeks, you'll learn to track restriction through the fascial lines — and treat the shoulder as the connected system it actually is:
Who This Is For RMTs who learned the muscles and Swedish techniques, but know there's more available than static work, and want to create change, not just relaxation
Fascial stretch therapists who know how to stretch, but want to know where the trigger points are and how to release tissue before lengthening it
Therapists who'd rather not treat the muscle that's in pain, but the restriction causing it
Therapists excited to learn limb handling and new ways to move a client, and bring fresh tools to the table
Anyone ready to see the body from a new perspective. We're not treating muscles. We're treating patterns.
What You'll Walk Away With By the end of the 4 weeks, you’ll have:
A clearer understanding of how to approach the GH joint as part of a system
More confidence in locating and treating meaningful restrictions
A refined ability to use movement to create change
A treatment style that feels more adaptive, intuitive, and effective
How It Works
This isn't a watch-and-forget course. It's a month of guided, hands-on learning — with me alongside you the whole way.
-
Each week opens with a live session where I introduce the week's focus and demonstrate the full treatment on a real body, so you see exactly how it looks, feels, and flows. I highly suggest having someone on your table during the live session, so you can follow along in real time and the work lands in your hands, not just your notes. Please feel free to ask questions in real time, that's what live is for. Every session is recorded, and you keep the replays.
-
You’ll be guided through movement-based techniques, palpation refinement, and treatment approaches designed to help you apply the work directly with clients, no memorization, just understanding.
-
Ongoing access throughout the 4 weeks to ask questions, share observations, and receive guidance as you integrate the work into your practice.
-
All sessions are recorded, allowing you to revisit the material, refine your understanding, and learn at your own pace.
-
Each week builds on the last, helping you develop a more complete, connected approach to assessing and treating the shoulder.
Seeing the Shoulder Differently
Identify and treat restrictions in the anterior shoulder while exploring how the joint is influenced by surrounding fascial connections and movement patterns.
This reframes your approach and prepares you for more precise work in the following weeks.WEEK 01
Movement-Based Treatment
Static techniques only take you so far. Use positioning and assisted movement to access deeper structures — including how restriction feeds into the diaphragm and ribs — and create change that holds.
WEEK 03
Palpation & Precision
Sharpen the skill everything else depends on: your hands. Learn to locate meaningful restrictions, the fascial "peaks and valleys" and distinguish what actually needs treating from what doesn't, so your choices become confident, not guesswork.Integration & Flow
Bring it all together. Sequence assessment, palpation, and movement-based work into one cohesive, adaptive treatment — reading the body in real time instead of following a script. You'll leave with a complete shoulder session you can use Monday morning.WEEK 04
WEEK 02
Meet Your Instructor
Hi, my name is Alecia ,
I'm an RMT and educator based in [city, BC], and the founder of Body & Breath.
After [X] years of clinical practice and teaching hands-on trainings in person, I kept hearing the same thing from therapists: "I wish I could review this again." One weekend workshop is never enough time for material to truly land.
That's why I built this training online — so you can study at your own pace, watch every treatment as many times as you need, and have a full month of direct access to me while you integrate it into your practice. This is the way I wish I'd been taught.
